Share My World 2015 – Week #2


These are all HAPPY questions for me! Cee must have sensed a need of Happiness on a Monday Morning!

Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?
I am a HUGGER! As a teacher many times we are told “DO NOT TOUCH the kids!” We are talking KIDS here people! I give hugs and probably will hug my students until I retire sorry big boss people. As for outside of school I hug too! For a few years my fibro was so bad I had to stop, even a light hug hurt so I am happy to be back to HUGGIN’

What’s your favorite ice-cream flavor?
Chocolate… Anything chocolate. the more chocolate the better!!! For close to 10 years if I ate more than i spoonful of ice cream I had a TERRIBLE Belly ache, with my DiGize Oil I can have lactose so that means LOTS of chocolate ice cream!!!

Do you prefer exercising your mind or your body? How frequently do you do either?
Well, seeing as how I am finally with the 99% of American’s who LOVES food, I NEED to get moving more. I exercise my mind so much more than my body BUT having put on a few pounds, OK, not yet 100 but… more than I have been other than being pregnant I better get myself moving. No more excuse that my fibro is too bad to do so, I just gotta do it! need inspiration in this area!

Are you more of a dog person or a cat person? Why?
We currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats, our highest was 4 dogs and 6 cats. It is soooo hard to choose. I guess I love any animal who snuggles! Lately it has been my dogs who fall in this department. We have a Blue Tick Hound (Suzie), a Greyhound (Bosco), and a part beagle part German Shepherd (Jesse). My Minipin- Chihuahua(Peyton) just past away last month… In the need for another snuggle dog for sure! So I am going with dogs… for now.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for my hubby Paul. He is a Law Enforcement Officer and my life-long love. In the light of all that is going on with officers he goes out there and does his thing! Scary for me, but proud to say he is FINALLY happy in his career! (this is his second)

And for the week coming up? I am excited for Bunco. I play with a group of ladies at my school, we are low key and just get together to have fun. Food + Friends = Fun


Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge 2015: #1


Blessed to say this Nature Trail is just outside my classroom! My school is an elementary school with an environmental science focus. We are a LEED certified Gold Building. The focus is to encourage students to become global stewards in preserving and protecting our planet. One way we encourage that is through outdoor observation. This Bamboo trail was put in at the beginning of last school year with many varieties of bamboo. With different textures, height, leaf and stem sizes students can stroll down the trail in an observatory “Zen” fashion. Who would not want to work steps away from this?


Burst of Sunshine, PLEASE!!!

Whenever I am feeling a little bit down I find myself reaching for the citrus oils. Living in Florida we get spoiled for sure, so when a cloudy day comes enter a bit of sadness. That drab ho hum feeling when you just wanna go back to bed feeling. My little pick me up is Citrus Fresh and a touch of Peppermint in the diffuser for a happy wake up. Better than caffeine! WAY better than caffeine! PUT YOUR HEAD OVER THE DIFFUSER KINDA FEELING!


Looking at all the citrus oils in this blend you can’t help but feel like summer is around the corner. Citrus oils have been shown to decrease Seasonal Affective Disorder. All I can say is thank goodness I only have a few days in a row of cloudy, cool weather because if I lived in a place with much more I would smell like a citrus orchard all the time!

Share My World 2015 – Week #1

I am taking on a New Challenge! After reading many Share My World posts I am compelled to join in for 2015! The vast differences in people’s responses are astounding and fascinating! So here we go!

How do you get rid of pesky phone calls from telemarketers?

In the past year we have “let go” of our home phone just relying on cell phones now. Scary at first yet freeing as I RECEIVE NO MORE of these pesky phone calls!!!

What are you a “natural” at doing?

Not too many things but I hear from others that when they are in a panic, feeling down or in need of a good healthy chat I am good for perking them up, getting them to think beyond the current trouble or just calming them down.

How often do you get a haircut?

Now with shorter hair it is more often than ever, about every 3 months… Pushing it but… I have found THE best lady to do my hair. She does it out of her home. She is a parent of a student at our school and very involved in PTA. She has a NATURAL ability to do hair and get just the right cut for each individual person. She does lots of the teachers hair and everyone looks fabulous when she is done!

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?

Well… I guess at this stage it would be time out of the house with family doing something everyone is enjoying. if you don’t have teens the second half of that has different meaning. Trying to find something everyone is happy to do is a CHALLENGE but when it is good it is GREAT!!!!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am thankful for time spent in Disney with both of my kids in Disney, my oldest daughter moved to Orlando so time spent with all of us together is a challenge!!! This week I am looking forward to teaching an in home class for a woman who is recovering from cancer. She just started using her oils and can not wait to have me tell her family about them! She received her starter kit from her hubby for the holidays. With money being tight she has been eyeing them for 6 months. I connected with her hubby and he was able to surprise her for the holidays! THOSE are my best days!!!

The Trap or Is It?

I am not a big one on New Year’s Resolutions as I think of each day as a day to make a change. But reading everyone’s choice to make January the 1st as THE day to resolve to make a change in their life I always wonder, “What can I do today better than I did yesterday?” What will a RESOLVE to do tomorrow better than I did today? What a powerful word it is!


Well this causes me to reflect on yesterday…what choices did I make that I could have made better ones? Yelling at my kids a bit too much, spending too much time on Social Media, not calling that friend I should have, eating too much chocolate, drinking that soda.

All ring true for me! So… I have some work to to as clearly we can all do BETTER… Not be perfect but make slow steady improvements.

A step in the right direction is a daily conscious CHOICE and NOT always the easiest to follow through with. But step by step we can RESOLVE to do better and be better. Less, chocolate, yelling, more family time, more special conversations.

So here are MY choices one to take on a MINOR weight-loss challenge by drinking water instead of soda (not that I drink it often But…I can Just say NO soda!) Less yelling… Taking a time out and THINK before I jump on my teens. Committed family time each day MINUS the social media.

I am committing to a morning, afternoon and evening ritual of oils to drop 5 pounds.  I will join in an online challenge to encourage others and stick to MY PLAN. Wanna come along? Comment for more info. Comment to give me a bit of encouragement, comment with what YOU resolve to do!
