Buildings and Trees-CFFC

My school is situated on 135 acres of pine forest. It is the biggest undeveloped track of land in our city. (West Palm Beach, FL) Just beyond that we have a 10 variety + bamboo garden. The students can take a serene nature walk through the bamboo garden. It is a picture perfect view from our school building!

SHARE YOUR WORLD – 2015 WEEK #48

Are you a hugger or a non-hugger?

HUGGER with a capital H!!!! I have been known to hug a perfect stranger! But if I feel the tension in a greeting I will stay hands off!

What is your favorite toppings on pizza?

Onions and mushroom! (Ha Onions and hugging seem like a match made in heaven!!!) Veggies all the way, although I have been known to eat pepperoni. Heck after not being able to eat pizza for so long I will eat it almost anyway it comes! What? Yep! Could not tolerate the spice in the tomato sauce or the tomatoes for that fact! Curious why? Check out “My Story” @ Sunny Oils

If you were the original designer of one existing corporate logo, which one would you select?

For me logos are a fascination! Your one quick chance to get your point across in an image or words. For me hands down it would be “Disney” that I would have designed. Just look at what it portrays… at least in my eyes! FUN, whimsy, personal! It is so easily incorporated into all aspects of the Disney company! I would so loved to have added my personal touch!

So logos have a whole psychology about them! I recently had to come up with a logo and had to convey a message to my “people”. You have to consider the psychology behind colors and emotions! Ha notice Disney is Black and white portraying “Balance”! And then look at Diversity! I think Disney needs to move into that color scheme as the parks are more diverse than most other places you go! People from all over the world walking and enjoying themselves in one place! Maybe knowing what the company aims to do with their logo it can help you feel more connected to the brand, the product and most of all the emotion they want you to feel.

Complete this sentence:  Where I can seek my solace is…

Really… I would like to say the beach or forest or somewhere out in nature cause I find those places most tranquil but in honesty it is my bedroom.

When I want to be left along, comforted, have a quiet break I run for the confines of my bedroom. Lights dim, diffuser going, fan swirling, peace and tranquility for sure! And of course my dogs are with me, giving me greater solace!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Well, last week was Thanksgiving so I would like to say that but honestly it was having time off from the alarm clock! I love not having to set an alarm clock or really having to wake up to an alarm clock! Somehow my sleep is so much better with out the eminent sound!!!

Looking forward to Friday!!!!!!

Share My World 2015 – Week #1

I am taking on a New Challenge! After reading many Share My World posts I am compelled to join in for 2015! The vast differences in people’s responses are astounding and fascinating! So here we go!

How do you get rid of pesky phone calls from telemarketers?

In the past year we have “let go” of our home phone just relying on cell phones now. Scary at first yet freeing as I RECEIVE NO MORE of these pesky phone calls!!!

What are you a “natural” at doing?

Not too many things but I hear from others that when they are in a panic, feeling down or in need of a good healthy chat I am good for perking them up, getting them to think beyond the current trouble or just calming them down.

How often do you get a haircut?

Now with shorter hair it is more often than ever, about every 3 months… Pushing it but… I have found THE best lady to do my hair. She does it out of her home. She is a parent of a student at our school and very involved in PTA. She has a NATURAL ability to do hair and get just the right cut for each individual person. She does lots of the teachers hair and everyone looks fabulous when she is done!

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “fun”?

Well… I guess at this stage it would be time out of the house with family doing something everyone is enjoying. if you don’t have teens the second half of that has different meaning. Trying to find something everyone is happy to do is a CHALLENGE but when it is good it is GREAT!!!!

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am thankful for time spent in Disney with both of my kids in Disney, my oldest daughter moved to Orlando so time spent with all of us together is a challenge!!! This week I am looking forward to teaching an in home class for a woman who is recovering from cancer. She just started using her oils and can not wait to have me tell her family about them! She received her starter kit from her hubby for the holidays. With money being tight she has been eyeing them for 6 months. I connected with her hubby and he was able to surprise her for the holidays! THOSE are my best days!!!

One Word for 2015…

In thinking about a word to focus on for 2015, I thought of many…dream, focus, peace, transform, serenity but one stuck with me… HARMONY!

I am needing a little Harmony in my life!

Harmony

Having a bipolar teenager is enough to send even the most calm and collected parent running for the hills or perhaps just under the covers!

Add on top of that being a Law Enforcement Officer’s wife, teaching full-time as a reading specialist working with struggling readers all day, tutoring afterschool, and running a business I need HARMONY Big time!

I am going to get some canvas and paint me a picture to hang up so I can focus on this!

HarmonyPainting

If something can be let go of I WILL LET IT GO… I will not add anymore stress to my already full plate. I will continue to find harmony between my illness and my business sharing my story with anyone who will listen. I will find harmony between my hubby and myself trying to find sometime to focus on each other. I will find harmony between my son and myself, letting the little things that teenagers harp on not get to me so much! I will find the harmony in 2015!

Once a Teacher – Always a Teacher

Spending my day writing online classes… I have done many 101 Beginner classes to help people learn how to use Essential Oils. Now venturing out into the 102 Class…Special Needs Part 1 and Part 2, Women’s Health and perhaps more! Feeling adventurous… What else does a teacher with two weeks off do?

IMG_8496[1]

I have been a teacher for 22 years. Special Education, Reading Specialist. Something magical happens when you depart information to people and they grasp on to it and take it on as their own. I have always enjoyed learning and found my passion for teaching early on. Blessed would be the WORD for this!

Finding great success with the oils myself I feel like I want to go to the highest mountain top and shout… “Just try them!” I see people suffering with ailments that the oils can help even if it is temporary it is relief.

I love the forum on Facebook events for the classes! What a GODSEND this has been! I have been able to reach people I could never get face to face with! I have even reached out in other countries! Although face to face education is BEST online is a great opportunity to reach anyone! OK… Anyone on Facebook!

Come Get your Learn On!

Hello Monday… Or NOT!

Ohhhh What a day!!! All I can say without these two oils I would have NOT made it through the day!!!

Monday

I started out with my teenage son up at 4:00 AM! Exercising and showering before school! Then a mini meltdown on the way to school. 3 miles NEVER FELT SO FAR! If you don’t have a teenager let’s just say at that moment I did not want one either!!! By the time I dropped him off at 7am I was already reaching for Stress Away!

STRESS AWAY v1.1

I applied to my wrists and took a few deep breaths ready to put the rough start behind me. Sigh… pull into my get my favorite HAPPY pick me up! An Arnold Palmer at Chik Fil A. Judge me not, I don’t drink coffee. So when I heard a man’s voice and not the happy cheerful Ginny I tensed up and ordered, only to hear “we don’t have lemonade this morning, would you like something else?” Ummmm…. Hold back the scream… “Cause you DID NOT make when you were supposed to???” Sigh… Ummm. “No, Thank you” and off I was to work! Without my happy drink! 😦

As I get to my classroom I notice my principal with the custodian popping in and out of classrooms. Mind you it is only 7:20 AM!!! So it was the day of our annual fire inspection… I do not use the fluorescent torture bulbs in my classroom. I have dim high effeciency light bulbs in lamps throughout my classroom. Well…sigh… apparently the fire inspector does not “like” lamps. So Out went my lamps all six of them into the storage closet unplugged and off. And HELLO TORTURE BULBS! That was when I reached for Oola Balance… Here is what Young Living says about this oil…

“Young Living and Oola have partnered together to offer this one of a kind essential oil blend Oola Balance.
